Email your favorite Stormtrooper

Posted in trifle on April 28th, 2005 by Evo Terra

We’ve been getting so many great comments (at least two) on TD0013’s “A Different Point of View” segment, we’ve managed to figure a way to get email transferred all the way to Tatooine.

Reach him at TD0013 at dragonpage.com. Wonder how the little “pfft” will transfer in email form?

Ever seen a grown man cry?

Posted in trifle on April 28th, 2005 by Evo Terra

Some people cry at weddings. Others at a sappy romance/tear-jerker on the screen. Me? Singing along to Inubus’ Nowhere Fast, iTunes cranked to eleven, headsets rattling off the side of my skull as the dog wonders why I’m screaming out in pain, tears streaming down my face.

Music = Therapy.

Growing Podcast Directory

Posted in trifle on April 28th, 2005 by Evo Terra

There’s an up-and-coming podcast directory called Podcast Pickle I think you might be interested in checking out. These guys are pretty new at the game and are looking to get a little exposure. The site is clean, a totally different approach to voting, and a few other niceties that the creators hope will help set it apart from the growing crowd.

Both of our shows are listed. You can show your support for The Dragon Page, and also cast a vote for Slice of Scifi while you are there!

There’s no place I can be…

Posted in trifle on April 26th, 2005 by Summer Brooks

… since I found Serenity.

Watch the trailer.
Tremble with glee at the tasty goodness.
Realize you have to wait until September 30th.
Mock the suits at Fox who cancelled this show in the first place (and none of them work there anymore).

Watch the trailer again.
Tremble with glee at the tasty goodness.
Send warm happy thoughts of giddy thanks to Joss Whedon.

Go read Finding Serenity to keep you sated until September 30th (book review coming soon). Unfortunately, Serenity won’t be available until the end of October.

But that’s okay, because we can watch the trailer again.

A day in the life of a podcaster/broacaster

Posted in trifle on April 23rd, 2005 by Evo Terra

Ripping apart the podcasting studioMike and I tore apart the studio today seeking a more perfect sound. Details on our success can be be found by listening to the upcoming shows we’re recording this weekend. Wingin’ It should be uber-sweet.

And for those of you making the conscious choice to download the shows by hand or to at-will out of your aggregator, expect a longer time to get them. Yeah, we increased file size. The quality justifies it. Deal.

Pot Smoker? You may want to move to Canada.

Posted in trifle on April 22nd, 2005 by Michael R. Mennenga

In a strange article from Yahoo News, a group of pot lovers attended an annual event to discuss politics.

“Marijuana Party officials kicked off their campaign in a British Columbia provincial election in a smoke-filled room at an art gallery.

Some in attendance said they didn’t know the event had anything to do with politics. Pot smoking at the museum has been an annual event on April 20 for about a decade.

The Marijuana Party plans to run candidates in 40 of the 79 legislative districts for the elections and asserted that Marijuana is anything but a fringe group.”

Of couse you know that the meeting would have been a much bigger success if it had not broke down early so that everyone could run out for chocolate cake, soda, and Doritos.

Happy Earth Day

(3) Podcasting for Dummies is underway…

It’s been a hellacious week…but stay tuned. Chapter Twelve is on the way.

Disc Golf Podcast

Posted in trifle on April 21st, 2005 by Evo Terra

YES! There is a god! The PDGA (Pro Disc Golf Assn) has started podcasting! [pleasedontletitsuckpleasedontletitsuckpleasedontletitsuck...]

I dig disc golf muy mucho, but don’t get to play often enough any longer, as there isn’t a course within a 100 miles of me. But maybe listening to this podcast will motivate me to convince the humble berg of Cottonwood they need to put a frisbee golf course in one of our parks!
