The other side of Star Wars
Magess sent me a couple of links in the last few days I’d like to share with the class.
The first is an alternate script for Epi III, one that George seems to have followed to the letter, only having the actors speaking slightly different words. Not safe for work, but it will make you (as it did me) rethink your adoration of the movie.
Then once you are thoroughly puzzled, check out the article on The Complex and Terrifying Reality of Star Wars Fandom. It might make some sense to you on a strange level. And if you’re not a SW fan, you’ll may gain a little insight as to the bizarre behavior of some of your friends.

Note: I don’t actually hate the movie. I enjoyed it! But making fun of it makes me laugh too

EXPLICATIVES IN THIS POSTING! HIDE THE KIDDIES FROM THIS POST
After reading this, I just want say…
1. “Samuel L. MotherFucking Jackson”…I nearly spewed my coffee on that one.
2. This “abridged script” bulls-eyed womprats better than Luke in his T-16. Rod Hilton need a contract somewhere!
3. I don’t want to hear any more shit about MY opinions of Lucas and his dynasty. He got the first one right (Episode Four for those of you buying into the prequel nonsense) and then there’s Empire (Rock on!) with Jedi bringing up the rear…and I’ll give the “Star Wars Fandom” essay credit — the Ewoks were a bit of a hindrance, but I do give credit for the first three and even the Marvel Comics series which I enjoyed. Good, solid entertainment between flicks…and come to think of it, when you go from Killer Teddy Bears to Telepathic Bunnies, it’s a logical progression. (And I, for one, loved the character of Shira Brie…but I digress…)
And finally…
4. My review could have been a LOT worse…it could have been somewhere in these guy’s ballparks. (But apparently, I wasn’t that far off the mark…)
