Didja like Duel of the Fates?
In case you missed it, we debuted (why does that look like ‘day-byoot-ed’?) a new Wingin’ It segment called Duel of the Fates. Here’s the supporting info from the creator:
Hello Wingin’ It! listeners! Jack Mangan here; I plan on doing one more exhibition Duel of the Fates segment (not saying yet who the combatants will be), then getting into the 8-character elimination tournament. The number one seed in that tournament will be the character “President William Sterling the Black”, from my forthcoming e-book and podiobook podcast, “Spherical Tomi”.
The remaining seven seeds? They will be determined by you, the listeners. Cast your votes for your favorite (or least favorite) SF character by sending a quick e-mail to FatesDuel@yahoo.com. Feedback is ok at that e-mail too. The voting results will be tallied, and the top 7 vote-getters will get to compete alongside William the Black for the Duel of the Fates Crown.
Here’s a long list of suggestions, but feel free to deviate and be creative with your votes! And please remember that the whole thing is meaningless. . .Duel of the Fates potential contestants:

What?! No Scorpius or Commadore Graza from FARSCAPE?! Ka’Dargo (no, he’s not dead!), Chriton, Talyn?!? What about us Scapers!?

That’s just a list of recommendations — not snubbing any franchises. Hell, there’s a certain chainsaw-armed, deadite-slaying, retail employee omitted from this list who’ll probably get my vote.
Cast a vote for whoever you want at fatesduel@yahoo.com.
Just be prepared for the possibility that they might lose in a duel against Howard the Duck (please no one vote for him).

FYI:
My e-book, “Spherical Tomi” will soon be available from Creative Guy Publishing (www.creativeguypublishing.com). I’m also in the process of recording the text for a near-future podiobook release. Lost love, powerful warlords, deep-space samurai, combat programmers, godlike renegade AIs, acts of terrible vengeance - it’s gonna be a blast.
More details will be coming in the weeks ahead at the CGP site, as well as at my blog: http://jackmangan.blogspot.com.
End of shameless, shameful self-promotion.
