Good stuff. But I’m kinda worried for Joe there. (There can’t be THAT many… sci-fi… adult entertainment, is there?!? If so, I fear for society…)
My real question is where is the podcasting panel file from Westercon? You recorded it (right?), so I would have thought it’d be on here, unless you’re including it in the podcasting book (might be more appropriate, somehow).

The recording you are referring to is sitting on Evo’s computer in Canada. So, along with Evo, it is currently unavailable. I’m sure that we will have it up as soon as Evo makes it back to the good ol’ USA. Stay tuned, we’ll send it out as a special podcast.
As for the Scifi porn. Joe is working very hard to find as much as possible to review. (Hey, it’s a hard job, but the boy is up to the challenge!)

Great Show guys. I liked your review on Fantastic Four. Having read FF comics since I was a kid, I thought it was a great flick. I liked the fact that Reed and Sue were not married yet. They were not married at first in the comics either. The wedding was in Fantastic Four Annual #3 (1965). Thats just the comic book geek coming out in me I guess. Again Great show guys.

Another great show guys, oh, and you were right Mike, it is much more quiet without an Evo there. Lol.
As for War of The Worlds, I agree with Joe that it was really really awesome! Tom Cruise or not…lol. I think that Tom Cruise actually did a very good job, he wasn’t the typical “Tom Cruise” character in this movie.

I agree with both Joe and Michael on War of the Worlds. I also cringed when Cruise took down the tripod, but all in all I suspended my disbelief and really loved the film.
As for the Fantastic Four, I think they nailed the 4 characters, but origin stories are always slow on the big screen and the film needed more action. Also, they totatlly changed Dr. Doom and enough so that it made it horrible for me, as a fan of the FF. The Doom character is closer to the one in the new Ultimate Fantastic Four series, which is quite good, but something just didn’t click with me. I loved the characterizations of the 4 though. The director of the film, Tim Story is known for comedies like Barbershop and Taxi, so it was an unconventional choice, but he did a decent job!

Again without Evo. ‘Tis mid-July and still we’ve no clut update. I’m lost without my leader!
Oh, it was interesting that I could hear the birds again and that only seems to happen when Evo is not around. Hmm… Mayhap he scaers them off.
I also noticed that Selina’s (YDP) newly added section was strangely absent. Is that going to be semi-regular? Also no Mur. Hmm…
Still an enjoyable listen.
Pod On!

Selina will be back next week. She is a bi-monthly submission so look for her segments every other week.
Mur just landed a kick-ass job, so she is a bit tardy on her essay, but not to fear, she assured me that she has one on the way.
Evo will be back for next week’s show, unless he drinks too much Canadian Beer and ends up in jail. (Beer, Canada, and Hockey. Could be a dangerous combination.)

bi-monthly… every other week!?! My head hurts.
July 15th, 2005 at 2:03 pm
Oops! Let me clarify that.
I receive several essays ever other month, which we air every other week. Does that make more sense?

“Kick Mystic Ass-Ninjas.” I love it.

Mystic Ass-Ninjas???
Hey Joe, is this not one of the porn titles you are reviewing?
Oh wait, that was Lord of the “G” String. *My mistake.*
