    All,

Regarding the story about Virgin Galactic: If I heard the story right, what happened was that Scaled Composites (a US company) is going to partner or sell high-tech materials to Virgin Galactic (a UK company). Anytime something like this happens, the US State Department gets involved to make sure there are no “national security” issues. One more way the government gets in the way of scientific advancement.

    Love your podcast.

First, no I’m not him. He’s dead. I’m not.

Second, I’m glad you guys are coming to Dragoncon. Please come visit us in the consuite. Just for you we’re going to have a voodoo board…so you can fin each other.

And I will have beer. Real beer. Manly beer.

For the one who doesn’t like spam, I will have a grilled spam sandwich. Fresh. On white bread with Velveeta cheese.

The con suite will be setting up on Thursday; that’s when the beer will be there. From Friday til Monday the suite will be dry. The con suite is rooms 223 and 226 at the Hyatt; the voodoo board will be in 226.

If I’m not that, you can look for Sue Phillips (Vampry) or Kate Kulig (also known as Hot Lips). My call sign is the Bishop. We will help you out and make sure you’re having a good time.

Are my podcast feeds screwed up or what? I’m listening to Wingin’ It, and suddenly it turns into The Word Nerds? Only, I don’t think they’ve done anything on the gender-specificity of genitalia-based insults. (Maybe I should suggest it — or maybe I should just go drink some beer….)

Regarding the Alliance counterpoint: Please tell me the fact that Palpatine manipulated everything that happened in Phantom Menace did not go over everyones heads over there!

  6. Duncan Says:

Great job on the podcasts, I am catching the feeds here in Perth Australia. Spend about 6 hours a week driving (for work) so plenty of time to catch all your casts.

Michael was just plainwrong on Show 18 of Winging It. HG Wells has the dumb earthers take out at least 2 tripods in the orginal novel, once by a row of black powder cannon, and a second done in by the Iron Clad Thunderchild. Guess he based his opinoin on the 1951 Movie.

    Onya for a Great Podcast

  7. Paladin Says:

No, Palpatine’s influence didn’t go over the audiences head. But it was missed by the characters until episode III.

FYI - We at the Voice of the Republic are looking for topics and contributors. Anyone interested?
