Dropping dead in your car in Sydney is no excuse for taking up a valuable parking spot. According to this report on Yahoo! News, a man died in his car and received a ticket.
“A traffic warden slapped a parking ticket on a car which had its dead driver slumped at the wheel outside an Australian shopping mall, an official said Friday.”
So, this is a little like china, where they execute you and send the bill for the bullet to your family?
I saw this on the news, it was a big story here in Australia. The guy had been dead for about a week before they realised.
By the way, this was in Melbourne, not Sydney. (And yes there is a difference.)
