Ancestor podiobook attacked
How better to express your love to your fellow human than by hacking into his website and pasting a bunch of fundie schlopp all over the place? It happened today to Scott Sigler’s Ancestor:
We received a long email that said a lot of nasty things, but here is a quote from it to give you an idea of the content:
“You blasphemers are spreading the false scripiture (sic) of evolution, trying to make people think its okay to merge human DNA with animal DNA. Humans are not animals! It is impossible to combine Godly DNA of Man, who was created in God’s image, with the DNA of beasts. God will punish (sic) you. We have destroyed your blog and hopefully your sinful story.”
Scott’s got the site up and running, but he’s lost all the comments– and he gets piles of comments for every episode.
Does anyone other than me find it ironic that people who are so bad at biology and anthropology have a good grasp of computer technology? For most of us, they go hand in hand. Maybe they should look up the definition of “fiction”. Pretty sure it’s out there…

And I they also dont realize one of the themes of Ancestor is that mixing the DNA dosent turn out very well, meaning it created flesh eating monsters.
Sigh, this is the same thing as the Da Vinci Code debate. Both are works of FICTION.

What amazes me is that they have such a poor grip on spelling. I mean, you want your message out there, at least TRY to spell check.
But how can you look up ‘fiction’ if the concept of ‘dictionary’ escapes you.
Oh, and I spell it COLOUR.

Getting hacked is annoying but he should feel proud. How is that these morons think it’s their job to punish Scott Sigler for God? They are totally missing the point of pretty much everything. I’m glad everything was backed up because I would go to war if I didn’t get my weekly fix of Scott Sigler.

Hey guys, great show this week. Tee Morris’ interview with Robert J. Sawyer was also quite good. For any DP listeners, who haven’t heard it, go subscribe to his podcast right now!

Evolution false scripture? They use to say that a spherical Earth was false scripture as well.

As a former fundimentalist, I would like to say people like that give the rest of us snake charmers a bad name. They take the fun out of fundimental, and focus on the mental. At least we can spel.

As a creation-believing Christian, I just want to say that we are not all radical vandals like the idiots who ruined Scott’s site. Just beause I believe in creation doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy great works of fiction. I don’t believe in little green men or time-travel either, but sill love Star trek and Doctor Who.
