Killer Bunnies Anonymous:
"Hi. My name is Sharon and I'm a Killer Bunnies Addict. It has been 1 month since my last game..."
"Hi Sharon!"

*grin*
I'm lucky. I caught the addiction early. When I got hooked I just had to buy the starter deck and the Red booster. Then I could pick up the others as they came out. I fell behind though, but my friends were looking out for me. I got the Green and the Steel boosters for gifts this year (from two of the people I got addicted!)
Do you have any of the "Omega" cards yet, like Lord of the Bunnies? They're the free promo ones you can get at conventions or sometimes at the store as a freebie when they're promoting a new booster.

Dang. Now I want to go play a game of Bunnies...

Interesting discussion on how long BSG can sustain itself. From what I've read, Ron Moore has hinted that there is a doozy of a cliffhanger to end season two that could spin the entire story off in a new direction. So, I think a lot of where it goes and how long the series can sustain itself depends on how the writers keep reinventing the show. I think the advantage BSG has season one was a shorter season. And by doing it in 10 episode chunks now, it may help the writers sustain the storyline longer or keep finding ways to keep it fresh. Look at shows like the Sopranos or The Sheild that thrive on the 10-13 new episodes in a row than a sustained hiatus to recharge and figure out new directions. Should BSG follow that model, it will be good for at least five seasons IMHO.

But no matter what, I'm along for the ride. Hell, I watched X-Files all the way to the bitter end.

I'm somewhere in the middle on this one. I didn't hate King Kong. It wasn't LOTR blow my brains enchantingly wonderful either. It was... acceptable. There are plenty of folks who think it's the most moving... movie of the year. Mmmm... no. I saw Brokeback Mountain twice. Kong does not compare in its ability to pull at my heart and make me cry. I'm not even sure that it made me feel sad. But it was fun and got the point across. It was properly sympathetic without making us think too much about a lady... and a giant ape. A lady... and giant ape.

And yes... let's shoot the giant squirmy bugs off the jittery jumping human. Because it wouldn't make more sense to hold the muzzle to it at a good angle and pull the trigger. That'd be too accurate. That kid can be on my target team anyday!

Well I enjoyed Kong when I saw it for the first time, but felt there wasn't enough story too justify the running time. When I saw it for a the second time (my nephews wanted to see the movie), I fell asleep in the cinema,I don't want to see the movie again...

Evo's nuts, but you knew that already. I'm talking about his view of King Kong. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and here's mine: King Kong is an excellent movie. Yeah, it's special effects filled. Yeah there are lots of run from this and run from that scenes, but for me it worked and Kong rocks every moment he is on screen. Kong is the most articulate and 'real' cgi character we have ever seen. I loved the movie. Sorry Evo didn't, but you others should see it yourself.

Yes, Summer--adjust. While LoTR had 1100 pages of epic fantasy, a half dozen cultures, three or four new languages, over a dozen major characters, and tons of history all crammed into a "mere" 10 or 12 hours, Kong as a ripping 30 minute adventure tale s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d out to 3 hours. And the CGI excess? I hypothesize that, like Lucas, Jackson has no one around to tap him on the shoulder and ask "Just becaise you CAN, does it really mean you SHOULD? I mean, shooting giant cockroaches off a guy's back with a tommy gun...isn't that just a little..umm...stupid?" Just a thought.

BTW, New Belgium does a great Trippel, widely available.

Fear not, I will still go see it. I just have to adjust the aim of my expectations to lower than LoTR territory.

For the love of Peter Jackson's scruffy beard, please do not let Evo's insane babble about King Kong in any way impact your decision to see the movie.

While not perfect, King Kong is far more than just a video game disguised as a movie. Andy Serkis weaves his magic again and creates an incredibly compelling Kong. The beginning does drag on a bit, but it's all that "story" and "character development" that Evo seems to think is absent.

The special effects are outstanding, the action is incredible, and the ending is absolutely heartbreaking.

Evo, please step away from the hops before every last remaining brain cell rattling around in your head is pickled.

Please don't play that badger song
It's been running all day long
I'll complain
And go insane
If people start to sing along
Please don't start to sing along

Please don't click that badger link
It destroys your will to think
Look -- it features
Dancing creatures
Oh my god I need a drink
Now I really need a drink

When I was a tiny lad
Living on the mushroom farm
Badgers killed my mom and dad
And nearly chewed off my right arm
I don't mean to sound dramatic
But everytime I hear that music
It gets me all post-traumatic
My heart pounds! I nearly lose it

Please don't load that badger site
Stop the beat before they bite
Now the thread
Is in my head
I'm hearing it all day and night
I'm hearing it all day and night
Now I hate to go to work
There's not a day that's badger-free
Can't escape the thoughtless jerk
Who's blaring it on his PC
Sign this now before we go deaf
My petition to the managers
As Raoul says in UHF
"We don't need no stinkin' badgers!"

Will drive me mad
