  1. Charlie the Beer Guy Says:

Just to clarify: was Evo’s woody due to my description of the hoppy beer, or was he still thinking about “sexy bitch” Joe in a wig?

  2. Jack Says:

    Incidentally –
Amityville House of Pancakes, vol 1 lineup:
The Girl in B33, by J.D. Welles
Dirk Moonfire & the Nefarious Space Women, by Jack Mangan
Cultural Clashes in Cdiz, by Jetse de Vries
and Gypsies Stole My Tequila, by Adrienne Jones.
All introduced by Sally, your zombie hostess.

Though the first round is already pretty much fully scripted, Doodle of the Fates comments, suggestions, etc. are still welcome at duelofthefates@gmail.com

  3. Brad P. from NJ Says:

Doodle of the Fates is BACK. Yea!!!

C’mon Dr. Evil… I’m not reading any of the comments, just posting as we go.

    1) NO… HAIR… what are you kidding me… Never Mind.

    2) Love Prowess… YEAH, Baby…

    3) Fighting. Hey, think about it. Frickin’ sharks with lasers on their frickin’ heads?! Do you even need good fighting prowess?!

    4) Rotating Category - Gotta go with the best acronymn for Dr. Evil… schweet

    5) Intangibles. C’mon…. Dr. Evil’s simply more in touch with the common man. Termie goes DOWN!!!!

    Love it. LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEE It!

Stephen Wright’s best quote: “I was walking down the street the other day. No, wait… That wasn’t me.”

  4. Mark A Says:

    Hmm… Skype, eh?

That’s all fine and dandy for folks who use (or will use) Skype as their VOIP of choice, but what about those who don’t have a computer to use Skype on? Would you set up SkypeIn for the account, or simply redirect to the regular voicemail?

  5. Michael R. Mennenga Says:

    Update on the Skype comments.

I set up a Skype In, but the voice mail will not save files to MP3 or wav. I would have to re-record them into the studio system. (Too much work.)

And before you post it, yes I have looked into Skype Answering Machine, (SAM). There is no Mac version, so that is out.

For now, the 206-600-4335 is still the best way to go for us. (Crappy audio and all.)

  6. Karen from Kalifornia Says:

Okay, the Beer Podcast from Stone Brewery is ON! And Charlie the Beer Guy, you might look a little closer at the Russian Imperial Stout, from the “some local brewery”. It’s from the Stone Brewery, I believe. And having tasted it, I can reccomend that Evo may be the better choice for imbibing it. Thanks for saving my voicemail for last, because that way you think it’s funny with all the beer you drank.
    love your show

  7. Charlie the Beer Guy Says:

Sorry Karen, Stone isn’t the only purveyor of the “black gold” that is the Russian Imperial Stout (though theirs is indeed a shining example of the style!). The one I acquired was brewed by the North Coast Brewing Company in Ft. Bragg. I figured Stone gets mad props (as the kids say) on the show already, so bringing another one of their fine products to Draco Vista (undisputed #1 on coastr.com w00t!) would be bringing coals to Newcastle. Though now you’ve got me thinking “Imperial-Stout-off”…hmmm….

Oh, and my Steven Wright fave: “I once bought some powdered water, but I didn’t have anything to add to it.”

  8. Nigel from OZ Says:

I was just thinking it might be a good idea to have a link / pic of the beer you are sampling on the show.

  9. Nigel from OZ Says:

  10. Stephen Kilbride Says:

One of these days I’m gonna just hop on a plane and come and live in the Stone Brewery :D

  11. Michael R. Mennenga Says:

I was just thinking, that if Stone doesn’t start sending us something, (beer, money, hookers…) we need to stop pimping them on the show so much.

I mean, there is better beer out there, and we are giving them waaaay too much airtime for free.

(I know, I’m a capitalist bastard, but hey!)

  12. J.R. Murdock Says:

Hey Karen! I didn’t realize, until this episode, that you were in SD. Please e-mail me the details for the Stone Brewery so I can join the mix.

Doodle of the fates? Now that was Funny. Can’t wait to see if Steve Austin meets up with Austin Powers’s arch nemesis. Now that’s a match up baby!

Um…Summer…Have you thought of being a motivational speaker? I think several younger listeners just had their introduction to manhood during that podcast.

Hey Evo! Glad to have you back!

Hey Joe, you talk too much! I can’t drink that fast dammit. Hic.

Pod on guys! You rock. I think Wingin’ It! is going to surpass Cover to Cover soon as my favorite show. :)
    J.R.

  13. Peter Miller Says:

About the rubber band gatling gun — if you’ve got some woodworking skills you can get the plans for $30.00 instead of paying the $400 :)

  14. Michael R. Mennenga Says:

Thats still a lot of coin for something that will get you fired or tossed out of school. ;-)
But damn… it does look fun!

  15. ryanknapper Says:

The Babylon 5 station is on the DVD menus for ‘Space, Above and Beyond!’
    http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/4210/cap0028ts.jpg

  16. Brian from Winnipeg Says:

Wow, found images of the other 4 Space: Above and Beyond menus:
    http://images5.theimagehosting.com/cap003.7.jpg
    http://images5.theimagehosting.com/cap004.6.jpg
    http://images5.theimagehosting.com/cap005.7.jpg
    http://images5.theimagehosting.com/cap006.5.jpg

B5 appears on all of them, and as you can all see, they really went all out in making each menu different, NOT!

  17. Summer Says:

I figured out what’s wrong with that B5 image on the Space: Above and Beyond menus.

The solar panels along the sides are missing. That means that they went to the trouble of editing the image of the station before putting it in there. What tha?

  18. Stephen K Says:

They must have thought that with a bit of photoshopping nobody would notice :)

  19. Jeff Says:

Concave - I just wanted to let Summer know that the $20 pre-registration fee ($30 at the door) is for registration and the consuite. It is one low price. There is lots of beer, several types of whiskeys, rums, tequilas, vodkas, and wines. Also, sometimes, people bring homemade meads and ales to be used in the consuite.
