Yeah, tell Jimmy from Denver I’d appropriate a magerzine subscripeshon.

Yep; after a long, hot day on the links I like to quench my thirst with one tall, cold Labatt’s Blue. Once my thirst is quenched I start drinking Saranac (read: actual BEER). Anything that comes in an aluminum can (sorry Michael: that’s actually shaped like a can) is just fizzy water. For that matter, anything with a twist-off top is suspicious as Hell.

I just wanted to chime in with Summer, an unedited, uncut 80 meg version of EP46 released via Bittorrent would rock! Or if you want to fund your Con-age on CD would be cool to, just not as cool as Bittorrent. LOL

Big En Oh on the cochlia implants, guys–even if they interfaced with a bazillion cool gadgets and not just with an iPod. I can sum up why in two words: broadcast spam.

Wow. I thought I had it bad with two machines to myself. But five in one house???
Bunnies: Hmm. I don’t have any omega’s myself. Wouldn’t mind getting Number Six for my deck though… I’m just holding off buying anything past violet myself for lack of storage when transporting (A suitcase of about 660 cards would be a serious damper on traveling by plane with only two carry-ons. Not to mention the horror of shuffling…)
Cochlear Implants: Tempting, if I had five grand
to blow on a nicety like that, the ability to completely control the source(s), and turn the damn things off when I don’t want them. I don’t need Aerosmith blasting in my head from a neighbor’s airport express while I’m in bed, thank you very much.
Pimpin’: The problem with shows like Trickin’/Pimpin’ is that they only do the superficial exterior and interior work, and often not too functionally well. I wouldn’t want a ping-pong table or a pool in the back of a pickup (providing I had one to begin with). The customizers never work with the engine, tranny, or suspension, so if you were sputtering when you came in, with a sticky clutch and broken springs, you’ll get it back the same way.
Now something like Overhaulin’ (I think on TLC) is where they restore classics in the same formula, except they break it down to the frame, and rebuild up from there. A bit more useful, and they actually do true custom work with fabbing interiors, metal work and beef up the engine. Tends to keep longer.
Lodging: While I can’t seem to find anything happening in Edmonton and the like, I would have offered had the chance arose.

I’m only 1/2 way through the show but I’m gonna drop some random thoughts while they’re still in my brain…
Bunnies:
Evo: just make sure you buy the boosters in order. There are some cards that you need previous boosters to use, ones that reference the Zodiac cards from Green for example. If you have extras of Omegas I don’t have from that stash that was sent you I would be willing to trade for a booster set. *grin*
Mark: Storage for the boosters isn’t an issue. I’ve got all of them and the cards and stuff all fits into the original blue box.
And everyone needs to run out and buy Apples to Apples! Easy to play, fun when you’re sober, more fun when you’re drunk! Also, if you’re a listener from England, John Kovalic JUST finished the cards for the British version so you don’t have to put up with figuring out American slang!

Thanks Mark… Overhaulin’ was the one that I was thinking of. For exactly the same reasons. If you are going to restore an old car, restore the damn thing! (I’m an old gear-head from long time ago.) Working as a mechanic, you understand the difference between Fixin’ a car, and fluffing a car.

Hey, guys! I just bought a few squares on your grid (D411). You all were the first podcast I listened to (though I can’t remember which of the three shows were actually first, probably Slice of SciFi) and now I have my own successful, if very niche, podcast. Thanks for feeding my addiction to podcasting and making me want to do one of my own!

Oh yeah, I knew I’d forget to say something…
If you guys make it up here for any conventions in Minneapolis I can offer you not only deluxe accomodations (a.k.a. an air mattress on the living room floor) but also some Killer Bunny action.
It’s probably too short of notice, but MarsCon is coming up in two weeks with Gigi Edgely and Dean Haglund as the GoHs. ( http://marscon.org/2006/index.php ) And our biggest convention up here is CONvergence over the 4th of July weekend ( http://www.convergence-con.org/ )

re: the cut 40 minutes of episode 46. Why not put out a special podcast of the “lost episode” and anyone who wants to hear them has to donate $5.00 to the Con Fund. sign me up if you do!

I’d totally pay for an uncut version of episode 46!

I’m only halfway through the show, but I have to say on the beer issue: I’m a Yuengling girl, through and through. (http://www.yuengling.com/ for those not in the know ). I have no clue how much it sells outside of the Philly area, but I love it. A REAL american beer that doesn’t taste like water to me. Give me a good Yuengling lager (draught please!) or a black and tan any day!*_*
February 17th, 2006 at 7:23 am
Ditto on the Yuengling, Amanda! Only brewery in the country older than the Matt family’s (makers of Saranac) and their stuff is way popular up here in upstate NY. I’m still a Saranac whore but I’ll never turn down a big Y black&tan!
February 17th, 2006 at 3:06 pm
I’ll hop on the Yuengling love train–it made a far greater impression on me on when visiting Philly than did the Liberty Bell. A great argument against the “makng love in a canoe” joke!

Maybe alternate Six and Lee covers. Cause, c’mon, gimme something!
