OMG!!!! Feed not updated. Im totaly going to fanboy freak out…..or not. Im tired.

  2. Jason C. Says:

I have no idea why I stayed up and listened to this.

    Can you guys tell me?

oh well, it was pretty funny. Can we expect it to be this long each time, depending of course on voicemails?

  3. fred Says:

Great voice mail show. I’m not sure but I think you missed listing my favorite old-school cartoon Thundar the Barbarian.

And I’m sure Summer has watched Trash enough times from the Firefly series to make up for any lack of male nudity she has missed.

  4. Mark in NY Says:

For those of us without the hair to handle RSS feeds, is this going to be listed in iTunes eventually?

  5. Summer Says:

Fred, I’ve even done slow motion and still frames to try to identify that tattoo on his hip :)
Ya know, it’s kinda funny… female nudity could seem to be a requirement for SF, both bad and mediocre, while male nudity only seems to turn up in anime and action films. Though, there were a few beefcake shots in the Hercules TV series that were done in an amusing fashion.

But there is still a dearth of unabashed full frontal male nudity, no matter what genre of movie. I think there should be equal opportunity nudity in entertainment, tastefully done, of course.

  6. Mark in NY Says:

Okay, just got through the whole ‘cast. Great show, guys: the format is perfect for the material, and I’ve wondered what the studio got like after you pull the plug on Wingin’ it! Is there some magic bite in the ass that happens after an hour of content? Just roll with it, it works. Be careful Wingin’ it! doesn’t get too format-ty and this show morphs into what the original used to be. Wild’n'wooly, that’s the ticket; keep ‘em both real!

  7. Mark in NY Says:

Geez, am I monopolizing the thread, or what?
    .
Okay, Summer, I agree: equal opportunity nudity should be the norm. Methinks the problem is the teen-age boy demographic for sci-fi. They’ve got enough gender identity problems at that age, showing some male flesh is probably considered way too scary; don’t want to spook your target audience! Not endorsing, just observing.
    .
Then again, maybe every culture has its weird taboos: look at Japanese censorship, such that in anime full female nudity looks either prepubescent or like everyone has a shaving fetish. Sex is just scary to some people, and that fear taints everything close to it. Just my not so humble opinion.

  8. Phil Rossi from VA Says:

You know. Its funny to ponder. I was in a tight closet, when I called after that show. Being the rocker I am, I should have probably been shagging in that closet.

Instead, I was calling Wingin’ it to say hello.

Next time after a show, I’ll try to call from a restroom or closet *as* I’m shagging.

I gotta admit, I was skeptical about a voicemail show. With that said, I think it was really great. I’ll miss the gang when I’m in France.

  9. Summer Says:

Mark, just FYI, the voicemail shows for both Wingin’ It and Slice of SciFi should show up in the feeds for the shows automatically.

However, if you’re subscribed using the Mondo Feed, they won’t be there (poor feed is already overloaded as it is).

You might want to subscribe to the individual show feeds, so you’ll automatically get the voicemail show when it’s posted.

  10. Alvie Says:

Yes Mark, you are monopolizing this thread. And if you dont mind I’d like to trade you Marvin Gardens and $200 cash for Park Place. Please let me know.

Oh, and yes this show was good and I know why you did it, but I’m still not sold on it. It has the potential to be fantastic or a complete mess. We shall see what happens next week…

  11. Mark in NY Says:

Hokay, is good trade by me, so long as I get a bye the first time I land on one of them.
    .
Summer, thanks for the advice and I just did that very thing. Only problem is the Wingin’ it! individual feed seems to stop at show #49, at least in my iTunes feed. The other two are right up at the current episodes.
    .
Oh and Evo: it’s Death RACE 2000. Death Wish is a different show entirely. Methinks we’ve already talked about this. ;)

  12. Michael Mennenga Says:

Oh, yee of little faith. ;-)
How can it possibly become a mess?
Lots of alcohol, extra time, lots of voice mails = comic gold.

Stick with us. We have a method to our drunken debauchery.

  13. Alvie Says:

    So say we all?

  14. J.R. Murdock Says:

A method to the chaos? Hmm…

At first I was perturbed that you broke the show up. That was until I realized you had 2 - 1 hour long Wingin’ It!s. Pure gold baby! Solid Gold!

Some day I need to send in a voice mail. Someday.

  15. Mark in NY Says:

Addendum: the rest of the Wi! feed just showed up for moi. So say we all!
