Podcasting and Science Fiction are EVIL!
Don’t believe me? So sayeth these crazy bastards.
Friggin’ Steve Eley get’s all the breaks. I’d give Mike’s left testicle for a review like this!
Well written, but oh that it were real.

Yeah, thats one o’ the funniest sites out there.
Wait how many times in the past year, Evo, have you threatened to give out Mikes left oe right testi in exchange for something?
M. R. M - the man with the thousand testicles!!!

There would appear to be as many MRM gonads as “pieces of the cross” floating around out there. Hmm, do you suppose there’s some connection… the horror, the horror. In summary, while I don’t agree the sci fi is evil, I know for sure podcasting is.

REPENT! REPENT! DON’T LET YOURSELF GIVE IN TO THE TEMPTATION OF PODCASTING. THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS IS EVIL. Because you don’t know where those ideas have been.

Wow, some of the comments after that article are pretty spooky. Looks like a few people missed the joke… or became it.
Mark Forman:
“There would appear to be as many MRM gonads as “pieces of the crossâ€? floating around out there.”
Thanks Mark. I ended up with a mental image of vines full of hairy pink grapes when I read that. Gotta go get the mind bleach now.

Greg-don’t forget to do the racing stripes while you are at it.
PS-Where do you get this mental bleach-there are some polka dots I’d like to treat?

Evo’s email has been added to the post!
This is the funniest thing I think I’ve ever seen.
Can we send them a couple Wingin Its? Maybe a beer? with this kind of coverage, WI will overtake DSC and DND.
Go Steve Eley!!

That is amazing. ♥

Was that supposed to get me to stop listening to “Escape Pod”? ‘Cause really, if I wasn’t already, I certainly would be now!
Just goes to show what you can find when you go wading in the shallow end of the gene pool…

Um… can I just say that there are actually some sane Christians out there? And I don’t mean the liberal ones (though no offense to those of you who are)… Shelley is someone I would consider a nut, pure and simple. Fortunately the sane Christians hold up the majority of that religion. Unfortunately, the outpoken ones are usually a few tacos short of a combo plate.
The website I linked above is actually a Christian podcast called Just Thinking, which is, obviously, intended for the thinking person. Military intelligence? Microsoft Works? Eh. You might find it interesting. I find that it’s somewhat analogous to Skepticality.

Er, sorry for the double post. I just wanted to say that those interested might want to look at the Q&A episodes specifically.
May 12th, 2006 at 10:20 pm
I posted a responce and am embarrassed becasue I didn’t realize it was a joke. Now I am a pretty intellegent person and can recognize sarcasm. So it is an pretty sad day when I know that there are people who actually believe and think like this and react to it.
Word. Anyway my responce to it was fer-real!

Jeremy,
We all have our off-days.
May 13th, 2006 at 1:58 pm
B Real Jeremy. Keep on keepin on. The first time I went to the site I was fooled too.
Gee, imagine that.
May 13th, 2006 at 6:10 pm
Ditto. Except I learned about Shelley from this site, so I’m a bit worse off than you.
In my defense however I was browsing and doing a net radio show and so didn’t see the link to the explanation until I posted my responses above.

Freaked me out the first time I saw this. Thankfully its satirical.
May 14th, 2006 at 7:41 pm
I’ve heard about it before, but never actually been there and was thrown off because of the ads. I guess J.C. Christian is just a bit more obvious about it.
May 14th, 2006 at 11:58 pm
At first I thought that site was a joke…then I thought maybe it was serious…now I am glad it really does seem to be a joke! The real point is: it’s frightening that I even considered it to be real, as there are actual humans (I’m using that term loosely) out there that believe this stuff! I am a quasi-Christian-Agnostic-Liberal (confused?) person that loves SciFi but this scared me for a second… :-p
May 15th, 2006 at 8:44 pm
That is a joke right? I mean it must be a joke - that cannot be real ….. well hmmm uh I hope that it is a joke. I think that I am going to be sick.;-P

HAH! Did y’all happen to read the previous post in “Shelley’s” blog?
Guess what… Shelley The Republican has a podcast. And if the numbering scheme is correct, there are 70 eps. My morbid sense of curiosity makes me want to download just one.

Forgot the link.

I know this is going to make me sound like an idiot, but where does it say it’s a “joke” site? The “meaning and purpose” link above gives me a 404 and sends me to the main page. I’d really like to think this is a joke…
May 19th, 2006 at 8:10 pm
Wow. I got completely fooled by this site. It wasn’t until Steve Eley set me straight with his latest episode that I even considerred that it was a joke. Sadly, I also went there from here (without reading the entire post). dohhh!!!
