Mike posted a bunch of photos from Comic-con on the Flickr feed the other day. I’m just now getting to look at them and have found a jem. In the event you missed it, enjoy this image of Mike trying on a kilt. The best part is his pants around his ankles. Not the first time, huh Mike?
Boing Boing had a post today about two stupid kids getting high by inhaling fumes from and chewing on moth balls. Moth balls? There is a write up in the New England Journal of Medicine (you know you’ve really fucked up when a peer-reviewed article comes out about your moronic antics) and the BBC News is reporting the more stupider of the two with a penchant for eating the tasty treats continued her habit in the hospital, as she was unconvinced that the actions was related to her symptoms.
How many of you play around with Digg.com? It’s a place where you can post a link to a blog post or news article and other folks can come and vote if they think it’s cool or not.
A new service called PopCurrent.com is now available that puts a media spin on this idea. In a nutshell, you find cool media things (like an episode of a podcast, an online movie or a book you are reading) and add it to PopCurrent.com. The rest of the community get to Pop It or Flop It, and everything bounces around to see what’s hot at that given moment in time.
I’m not a voter-type person, probably because I’m too lazy and really don’t give a frog’s fat ass what anyone thinks. But for those less lazy than me, give it a shot. I recently added the Pool Party episode to the system. Lords help us all.
You knew it was only a matter of time. But what you were not expecting was a direct to video release of Snakes on a Train (nope, not a typo) three days prior to the theatrical release of Snakes on a Plane.
Under a powerful Mayan curse, snakes are hatched inside a young woman, slowly devouring her from within. Her only chance for survival is a powerful shaman who lives across the border. With only hours to live, she jumps on a train headed for Los Angeles. Unfortunately for the passengers aboard, they are now trapped, soon to be victims of these flesh-eating vipers.
This is another film by Eric Forsberg and The Asylum, the same team that brought us the mixed-bag movie Alien Abduction. I’m just waiting for someone to come out with Snakes on a Brain (It’s a romantic comedy. With snakes.)

It’s all fun and games until an auto mechanic decides to stash his six-foot Boa in the mailbox to get a rise our of the post man and now faces six months in the federal slammer. Then it’s just fun.
Apologies to those who keep up to date with the site via an RSS feed. People like me, for instance. In a recent upgrade, the RSS file suddenly started putting out only excerpts of the posts. I hate that, as do many others. I think I’ve fixed it now. Sorry about that.
