Mike, Summer, Jack, and Kris the Cheesecake Lady, rock the fuckin’ mics! Yeah!
I couldn’t find the Miller Lite commercial Summer was talking about, but while searching I came across this old favorite.
First Drink of the Day: Um, no firs… what? What’s happening? They’re talking about beer, but no music is playing.
Some news: The VM show is now being limited to a half hour. We’ll see how long this lasts.
And now for the voicemails:
- Scott from Tucson also cuts his hair now. BTW, Scott, what Safeway do you work at?
- Moose from the great northeast didn’t like our grown-up response to Charlie’s beer nemeses.
- Leif from wonderocity.com calls Evo to let him know he has some PME pics up at geekingoutloud.com
- Rapid Eye, at
Disneyland,Disneyworld, the Disney in Orlando, saw a friend of Wingin’ It the other night. - Arry from Boston gives us a yiddish lesson on “schlamiel, schlamazel.”
- A caller, who doesn’t identify himself, tells Mike he was the one who sent in the Tequila commercial. We so need a DUMBASS tag.
- Laura from Maryland has the crew raise their glasses to Dr. John Mather, who just won the Nobel prize in physics; and to La Vie Boheme.
- Tim from Michigan wonders how Evo would have handled the Charlie bashing beercast had he been on the show that week. Ok, enough with the goddamn beercast.
- Mike Wills of the Riverbend lamenting the arrival of winter in Minnesota.
- Mark in Memphis finds a theme in the suggestions for Joe’s new name.
- Andrea from Chicago confirms that Chicago is the angriest city.
- Enormous from Australia wants naked painted chics at the pool party next year.
- Gil from Milwaukee sends a shout-out to all those stuck in traffic.
- Karen from Kalifornia, stuck in traffic, saw herself a loose woman the other day.
- Ok, new topic for the voicemailers… you’re at the checkout counter with condoms, what else do you have, make it interesting. Difficulty: you can’t have any of the items the crew mentions here.
- Hey, it’s… Karen! I so wish I was at the PMEs.
- Dwight from Ottawa invites the guys up north to meet some podcasters.
- Mike is bitching about the upcoming winter. In AZ. Hundreds of North Dakotans are burning Mike in effigy as he speaks. A fitting way to end the show, don’t you think?

Nice. As the FimbulWinter approaches, Mike’s complaining about it being a little nippy. I ride my bike to work every fracking day at 4:30 in the morning. Remind me to kick his ass next time I’m in AZ.
I can understand the shorten VM for Slice, but not for Wingin It, how can you possibly have a drunk Wingin It if you stop the VM show at 30 minutes. That is barely enough time for a beer.
ps – In Flag we already have had snow on top of the Peaks, TWICE and wer may get our first dusting tonight….can’t freakin wait!!!
What I want to know is, who are all these morons who keep requesting a shorter show? Last time I checked, all the new fangled MP3 players had this really cool feature called a pause button. A novel feature I know, but just think, you can actually pause the show, and then listen to the rest when you have the time. Who knew?
Right on, Rhettro!
So Say We ALL!
Thanks Ed.
So Say We All!
This was only 27:55 you owe us 1:05!
We want our 1:05!!! ;-P
Ok I screwed up!
We want our 2:05!
If 2:05 is all you have to give me, we need to have a little chat…Usually I deserve a little more time than that!
Seriously, don’t be so picky about the VM’s. I for one enjoy listening to the different points of view, even if they don’t agree with mine.
I wouldn’t bother with geekingoutloud, nothing there except an empty vanilla WordPress site.
Well, I finally listened to the episode yesterday at the gym.
I can understand why Mike would want to shorten the voicemail show to reduce his workload, but I still enjoy hearing the VMs and everyone’s comments about them.
Sorry about the geekingoutloud.com blog link –some how my entire blog was erased, the pix are back up though.
Also, though I do own wonderocity as well, the actual link is wonderosity.com. That is my portal page though, http://www.geekingoutloud.com will take you straight to the PME pix.
THanks,
Leif
