The rest of the year we tell them to be aware of strange people. Don't go off with them. And THEN we say 'but this guy in the funny red outfit, in the seasonally inaporopiate atire (well, it IS summer here)... go sit on his lap and tell him what toys you want'. Not to meantion, any other night of the year the thought of someone breaking into your house is scary. Christmas Eve, it's ok. Though is it better or worse than that derranged, leg laying, rabbit that shows up a few months later?? P Furthermore… when you think of it, what sort of message is this ending to the young-uns?

And I think little kids are way smarter than we give them credit for. It is the same as the reaction they usually have towards clowns. There ain't NOTHIN' scarier than a clown.
