Another Kuato update
Just to give everybody a idea of what’s up.
I talked to the surgeon this past week, and we decided on a colonoscopy, and based on those results, determine whether to start with surgery, or do chemo first to shrink the mass. I’ll have the colonoscopy on the 21st (these docs are lightning fast, eh?) Won’t know more till then.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who called and emailed in. I haven’t you answered you all individually, but I have read every one and am very greatful for your thoughts, prayers, and advice and support. Really, you have no idea.

Thanks for the upate. We check every day for news. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Let John know if you need him to lay some Smack Down on those doctors in Arizona. Make sure they use enough “butt lube” with the ass camera.
As always, you know how to reach us if you need anything.
Laura and John.

We’re thinking about you Joe and you’ve got a whole bunch of us resourceful SciFi fans out here who are finding ways to send some mighty powerful positive energy in your direction!
We’ll have to create a contest to see who gets to be the first person to buy you a root beer at Dragon*Con next year!
All the best…

Yea,
Sounds about the speed of the doctors! I had my share of hurry up and wait… but they were always quite fast with all the crap I never wanted to do in the first place! Go figure…
Hang in there man, and we’ll party at D*C 2007!

Gods, as if we needed another ass reference. My head hurts when I think of what Evo is going to say about the “ass camera”.
Sweetie, if anyone can kick cancer it’s you. I’m trying to make it out there this week, and give you the gajillion hugs I owe you. Never forget how many people believe in you, love you, and are willing to do what it takes to help you through this.

Keep fighting the good fight, Joe.
Maybe you could vidcast the results of the colonoscopy?
Or a special edition 2-disc DVD set with a commentary track.
Seriously, I’m praying for you and hope it all goes well.
December 11th, 2006 at 4:42 pm
Just remember to hang in there Joe.
December 11th, 2006 at 6:27 pm

Ari, that’s genius!
I can just imagine the commentary. “At this point I really felt like the doctor should at least have taken me out to dinner first.”
December 12th, 2006 at 8:25 am
lol… seriously AT LEAST dinner.. and a movie and some cocktails too methinks.
I send you a big hug, and you are most definitely in my thoughts.
Good luck, and I hope this is all over quickly, and without chemo preferably

I’m a veteran of a couple of colonoscopies*, and the routine ones aren’t too bad. The prep for them is what’s hard!
Still thinking good thoughts in your direction…
*My mom died of colon cancer, so I get checked regularly.
