Wingin’ It #89: Not nearly as depressing as last week’s show
This week we have Mike, Joe, Summer, Brian, Debbie, and Kuato.
Tim is the silent studio audience.
First Drink of the Day, thanks to Anna from Washington: Pipeline Ale, some Guiness, Debbie’s Smirnoff shit.
- And now for something completely scripted and not off-the-cuff:
- Joe, quite erroneously, trust me, he knows now, thinks Tales from the Verse has Firefly slash fanfic. Sorry for the misinformation.
- Six is going to be in Playboy next month!
- Chris the Fixed Kitty’s Christmas List
- Oh, Mi, Bod!
- Mur’s Bitches. I am so there.
- Live from World Con 2006: Scifi haikus by Deborah P Kolodji
- Joe got the coolest gift EVAR! The excellent folks at the Podculture podcast sent me a Build-A-Bear.
- Microbrew, with Tee Morris and Phil Rossi.
- The Flanvention debacle.
- Jim Van Verth, The Vintage Gamer, with this week’s Games for Large Drunken Groups: Bang!
- Mike bought his prophetic calendars for next year.
- Live from World Con 2006 it’s the Scifi Poetry Slam: Leap of Faith by Drew Morse.
- Gay Elves
We’ll be back in two weeks. Happy whatever-holiday-you-celebrate.

This was the day of the clit.
December 20th, 2006 at 9:35 am
I have nothing personal against female genetalia and all, but is that going to be a permanent change? If so, I will need to slightly modify how I listen at work (right now Windows Media Player automatically shows “album art.”

Good job on the Flanvention report guys. Your info was pretty much spot-on. you made some really good points.
The info about Tales From the ‘Verse, not so much. Tales From The ‘Verse does short stories, not episodic stuff.
Also, no slash fic. It’s all Joss-sanctioned relationships so far.

SOMEONE WROTE A SLASH FICTION ABOUT ME!
until you see some wingin’ it slash fan fiction don’t complain. my mind is still broken from my experience.
December 20th, 2006 at 4:08 pm
Brilliant Top 10 list…I agree with number 4.
*dies when hears number 1*

Sorry CarrieP, that’s why I don’t speak up much. My instant memory recall is shit. I shouldn’t open my mouth with copious notes to back it up.
Lemme apologize to ADAM Baldwin for saying the wrong name. I knew who I meant!
And lemme apologize to the Tales from the Verse people. Whoever writes the stuff is good, and I was trying to defend it from Joe, who was attacking fanfiction in general. Blame Joe. Yeah.
Not that I have a higher opinion of fanfic, most of it IS lame.
Apologies all around, Debbie

No worries, Debbie. Any Browncoat content is good browncoat content in my book. Well, except for “Wash Dies…”
