Wingin’ It #96: Strong Beer and Adult Toys

Takin’ it down this week: Mike, Summer, Joe, Charlie the Beer Guy, Mike’s wife, Brian, Tim, Kris the Kitchen Minion, and Debbie.

First Drink of the Day: Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine, Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, Thomas from Flagstaff’s Chickory Brown, and Dogfish Head Fort.

And now for the rest of the show:

  • Hank from Canada was moved to write Joe a song. And sing it. And record it.
  • Mike is given some Brown Suga.
  • Last week, Charlie got a message from the Universe.
  • Rufus with another game for large drunken groups. This week: Apples to Apples from Out of the Box.
  • Need a vibrator? Send in your playlist to contest at michaelandevo dot com and win your own OhMiBod.
  • Karen from Kalifornia: A review of Michael and Evo’s Wingin’ It, the Musical!
  • Tim tells a story that makes me feel so much better about myself and my family.
  • The Wingin’ It traffic report, with Chris the Fixed Kitty.
  • Weird place names and Japanese diseases: Send them to Chris the Fixed Kitty, people, not to us!
  • Ok, at this point, you may realize that everyone is starting to lose it, thanks to Charlie.
  • Chris the Fixed Kitty recommends adult toy breakage stories, and then tells one. Then makes an offer you can’t refuse.
  • Farpoint Media updates. The Fanboy Smackdown is now part of Farpoint Media. The Starship Smackdown website is now up. Food Geeking, with Tim and Kris, is starting up. And, of course, there’s always The Zombie Channel. There’s a bunch more, too. So stay tuned, same podtime, same podchannel.

Contest? CRAP… I wasn’t going to put together a show for that until the 15th of March! Shit… I better get cracking.

  5. Brian Brown Says:

    THIRD BASE!

  6. Podcast Mike Says:

    Only 5 songs?

  7. spellwight Says:

Well Mike, how many songs in a row can you masterbate through? In order to give each individual entrant a fair chance, we had to limit it to five.

We gotta test out these song lists personally, ya know.

    ;) Debbie

  8. Elias in Austin Says:

    BLue Man Groop!
That is all that is needed.

  9. Thomas Says:

Charlie we have an Homemade 120 IPA we played with at the shop. The problem is I can’t bottle it normally I need to get a counterpressure system or borrow one from someone to bottle it. Adding sugar to a 20% beer just ain’t going to help it carbonate. If we find a way to bottle I’ll make sure some get down to the show.

  10. ditto Says:

That’s so funny. I played Apples to Apples on Saturday for the first time. It really is a lot of fun.

  11. Rhettro Says:

    Yes - City of Love

  12. Karen from Kalifornia Says:

Oh, I have the perfect response to “Adult Amusement Gone Wrong”. I just hope you all have the constitution to listen.

What? Did you expect you less from KfK?

  13. CarrieP Says:

I *love* apples to apples! One of my fave games! I’ll have to try Mur’s variation sometime.

Oh, and girls, how long do we have until the contest closes? I don’t have my ohmibod yet, it’s on its way though.

  14. Selganor Says:

Just so that whoever is interested in the mentioned phenomenon doesn’t have to search: http://mdn.mainichi-msn.co.jp/waiwai/news/20061115p2g00m0dm040000c.html for an article on Japan’s “scourge”, and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persistent_sexual_arousal_syndrome for the wikipedia entry.

  15. Liam Says:

Goats webcomic has a great Litany of Beer that follows the original Litany Against Fear even closer:

  16. Liam Says:

Oh! For the Zombie Channel, you guys HAVE to involve Zombie Squad!
    http://www.zombiehunters.org
There’s some members in your area I think, from the map….
(In addition to silly things like working with charities and raising money and help for tsocial and civil services and emergency preparedness,) they prepare people for the eventual zombie invasion. =)

  17. Reaver Says:

    Mmmmm….. Apples to Apples……

I have friends who say it’s lots of fun to have everyone pick their red card *before* the green card is drawn. Might be even be more amusing when everyone’s drinking. I may have to try it. With some help from friends, of course.

  18. Reaver Says:

And here Mur has demonstrated this technique. This is why I should *listen* to the show before writing my comments. [sigh]

  19. Carriep Says:

No worries Reaver. Your enthusiasm is much appreciated.

  20. Tim Says:

    Liam:

The Litany of Beer was a tweak of the “Mentat Mantra” from David Lynch’s adaptation of Dune.

“It is through will alone I set my mind in motion. It is through the juice of sapho that the thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, the stains become a warning. It is through will alone I set my mind in motion.”
