6:30 PM MST More updates from TusconTucson. Seems that the prep is taking quite a while. This isn’t just some simple knock-out-let’s-go situation. He’s got a few parsecs of lines, drips and hoses inside of him now and is about to get an epidural. Guess those things take time. Joe has not been taken in for his procedure yet. He’s prepped. He’s ready. And 1.5 hours ago, Mike had been informed that [...] 4:20. How appropriate for the time they start sticking tubes inside of him with all kinds of happy juice. It’s serendipity, I tell you. Looks like we’re about to start. Cut straight, ya bastards! Gang, This afternoon AZ time, Joe goes under the knife. Time to get that little bastard out of there and to see what sort of a mess he’s made of things. I talked to the surgeon this past week, and we decided on a colonoscopy, and based on those results, determine whether to start with surgery, or do chemo first to shrink the mass. I’ll have the colonoscopy on the 21st (these docs are lightning fast, [...] Because I’ve had more than enough this week. Turns out that Kuato is malignant. So I have one big ass cancer inside me. Next step, get it out. Then they’ll do more tests on it. I don’t know when the surgery is, not sure if it’ll be here in Tucson, or in Phoenix. Don’t [...] Just to keep everyone up to date. I was hoping to find out the results of the biopsy last week. I called the doctor’s office today, and I was told they were still working on it, and the doctor wouldn’t be in until Wednesday. So, at best, I’ll find out something Wednesday or Thursday. [...] Ok, where to begin? About a week or so ago, I could feel a hard lump on the left side of my belly. This past Saturday, I felt a second lump, so I went to the emergency room. I had a CT scan of my abdomen. Turns out I have a tumor. A big [...] |
